shOObh ARTS COMPETITION - Theme: People ‘n’ Animal

shOObh theme of the year 2011 is People ‘n’ Animal.

    The project aims to introduce animal welfare in schools through extra curricular activity. The larger goal of this campaign is to lay down the seeds of compassion &    kindness in early years of personality development of a child. Rising levels of crime & cruelty alarm society. So, just like we teach math & science, kindness & consideration,    too, need to be taught to our children in schools.

   Eligibility Criteria:
   
   (i) Participants must be between 5 – 17 years of age.
   (ii) Participants must be bonafide students of the school they participate through.
   (iii) The competition is open to all school children.
   (iv) Participant could also be a foreign national.


   Guidelines for Entries:
   (i) School can submit the best drawing/painting in categories mentioned below:

   (ii) Format of the entry: Paper (Any size)
   (iii) Participants are free to use a drawing medium of their choice (pencil, colors, pastels, crayons, ink, etc.).
   (iv) Each entry should be original, entirely done individually & should not have been previously submitted to any other competition or exhibited in any other forum.
   (v) Drawing may have a caption, but should the caption not exceed 2 lines & must be written in English/ Hindi.
   (vi) The entries should not be mounted or framed.
   (vii) The entry form (attached) should be filled up & completed in Hindi/English, or be accompanied by a translation in Hindi/English.
   (viii) A maximum of two entries per category per school shall be entertained. Any entries beyond the specified limit shall be disqualified.
   (ix) PASTE THE FORM at the back of the painting sheet, complete the form in your own hand writing along with signature of the Principal/ authorized signatory of the school    with school stamp when submitting the painting.
   (x) All entrants not complying with the rules will be disqualified. The organizer’s decision shall be final and binding .
   (xi)The organizers shall not be responsible for any loss/damage of an entry during transit.

   Adjudication: The submissions will be judged on the basis of
   i) Originality & creativity.
   ii) Relevance to the competition theme.
   iii) Added value brought to the current thinking on People ‘n’ Animal.

   IMP:By entering this competition entrants will be deemed to have read these rules & agree to be bound by them. Organizer reserves the right to vary, cancel or modify the    competition or its T C in whole or part at any time.

   Selection Processes: 
The Jury headed by Padmashree, Anjolie Ela Menon shall select the Three most outstanding drawings/paintings submitted for each above    mentioned group.

   Closing Date: Entry should be sent through post to shOObh Group Welfare Society, 10, CSC, Pocket-E, Mayur Vihar-2, Delhi-110091, India by 15th August    2011.

   Prize & Certificate of Merit: Three selected finalists in each category will receive a Medal & Certificate of Merit.

   Result: Winners shall be declared by shOObh Board.

   Exhibition of Winning Entries:
Winning entries shall be displayed at exhibition(s) across India.

   Handling of the Entries & Intellectual Property:
Entries will not be returned. All entries shall remain the property & copyright of shOObh Group & could be used or    reproduced by the shOObh Group for public education awareness activities & any other purpose as deemed appropriate by the board.

shOObh Photography Contest - Theme: People ‘n’ Animal



  do you have a camera…do you have a photographic memory that was never developed….a scene…you feel is profound, beautiful or simply comical.. JUST CLICK & submit    it to us…..The rest, as they say, will go down in history….So, if you think you are good at photography & want to prove it, just come to this event.

   Contest period : The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. on January 1, 2011 & ends at 11:59 p.m. on August 15, 2011 (the "Contest Period"). The Contest Period consists of an    image submission phase that begins at 12:00 a.m. on June 1, 2011 & ends at 11:59 p.m. on August 15, 2011 (the "Image Submission Phase"); & a judging phase ("Judging    Phase") that begins at 12:00 a.m. on August 16, 2011 & ends at 11:50 p.m. on September 5, 2011.


    Eligibility Criteria:
   (a) Participants must be between 7 – 18 years of age – {Category: A-D}
   (b)
Participants must be bonafide students of the school they participate through.
   (c)
Participant could also be a foreign national.


 
Guidelines for Entries:
  (i) A maximum of 5 ENTRIES PER CATEGORY PER SCHOOL / ORGANIZATION shall be entertained. Any entries beyond the specified limit shall be disqualified.
  (ii) School can submit the best Photograph in categories mentioned below:

   (iii) Photograph Requirements :
   (a)
Must adhere to all listed Technical Specifications set forth below.
   (b)
Must be the participant's original photograph.
   (c)
Must not infringe on any other person's or entity's rights.
   (d)
Must comply with the Terms & Conditions.

   (iv) Technical Specifications :
   (a) File size upto 4 MB
   (b)
Format: JPG
   (c)
All images must be available at 300dpi, even if the image is at a lower dpi.
  (d)
Entries can only be sent in CD/ Pen drive/ Print out through post at our address shOObh Group Welfare Society, 10, CSC, Pocket-E, Mayur Vihar-2,    Delhi-110091, India.


   (v)
Failure of any photograph to comply with the guidelines, shall result in disqualification. Any submission that includes content that is deemed    inappropriate, indecent, &    obscene or otherwise does not comply with the rule & regulation of the competition will be disqualified.
   (vi) Each entry should be original, entirely done individually & should not have been previously submitted to any other competition or exhibited in any other forum.
   (vii)Photograph may have a story, but should the story not exceed 250 words & must be written in English/ Hindi.
   (viii) The entry form should be filled up & completed in Hindi/English, or be accompanied by a translation in Hindi/English.
   (ix)DO NOT PASTE . Attach a copy of the form with the photograph, complete the form in your own hand writing along with signature of the Principal/ authorized signatory    of the with stamp when submitting the photograph.
   (x) Liability: All prints are submitted at the participant’s own risk. The organizers cannot accept liability for any loss of or damage occurring to any entries, whether this    occurs in transit or while in the keeping, although every care will be taken.
   (xi) Limit one prize per participant.
   (xii) All entrants not complying with the rules will be disqualified. The organizer’s decision shall be final & binding.

  Handling of the Entries & Intellectual Property: Participant retains ownership of the copyright in any submitted photographs. However, by entering photograph(s) in    this Contest, participant grants organizer the irrevocable, perpetual right to edit, adapt, use & publish in any media now known or hereafter discovered any or all of the    photographs without compensation to the participant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity. ENTERING A SUBMISSION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES    PARTICIPANT'S IRREVOCABLE ASSIGNMENT, CONVEYANCE, & TRANSFERENCE TO SPONSOR OF THE FOREGOING RIGHTS. The winner shall work with Sponsor to change    the file in any way deemed necessary for publication of the photograph. The participants shall supply, upon request, original, unmodified digital files.
